General Ordering Information

GALLERIA PRICING & OPTIONS:

  • Calendar pricing is shown on each page.
  • New lower minimum order - 100 calendars (one standard imprint colour only).
  • Minimum order for 2 colour imprint (150 calendars)
  • Galleria prices include:
    • FREE - your choice of 1 standard colour for imprint.
    • FREE - choose from standard imprint colours (black, red 185, reflex blue, green 342).
    • FREE - unlimited number of imprint lines. (max 6 recommended)
    • FREE - mix'n'match titles (min. 50/ea).
    • FREE - order acknowledgement.
    • FREE - 1 paper proof (on request).
    • FREE - conversion of artwork from a competitor's calendar (submit calendar imprint for reference).
    • FREE - typeset.
    • FREE - set-up for first imprint colour.
  • For 2 colours, colours must be separated as SPOT colours and saved as an EPS file only. Fonts should be IMBEDDED or transmitted with the document. All fonts should be converted to curves/outline. A press set-up charge of $30.00 (E) applies for the second colour (includes wash-up). A run charge of $0.25 (E) per calendar applies for the second colour.
  • For 3 or more colours, call for pricing and specifications.
  • Optional stock colours are available at $30.00 (E) - process blue, orange 021, Pantone yellow, burgundy 201, brown 168, teal 320, red 032, and blue 300.
  • For a PMS colour match a charge of $60.00 (E) applies.
  • Copy changes are $25.00 (E) 50 minimum.
  • Black & White photos & half-tones @ $30.00 (E) each. Black & white passport photo is preferred for best imprint quality.
  • Drop shipment for multiple locations within Canada is FOB Brampton plus $15.00 (G) handling charge per additional location.
  • Re-drawing or touching up of art will incur an extra charge rate of $25.00 (G) per half-hour.
  • Plain mailing envelopes available at $0.25 (E) boxed in 100's.
  • Card stiffener available @ $0.20 each (E).
  • Custom printed envelopes are not offered.

ARTWORK:Our art department is the final judge of what art is camera-ready. Faxes, photocopies, business cards, newsprint or art requiring resizing are not camera-ready. Borders around artwork will not be printed unless specified.

ARTWORK - DIGITAL: Email artwork to artroom@magnuspen.com. Please be sure to include your Distributor name and purchase order number in the subject line of the email. If possible, a PDF (viewing file) should accompany the original emailed art as a screen reference copy. This helps us determine that nothing in the file has changed during emailing but it doesn't take the place of the original artwork. Please comply with the following minimum specifications to avoid additional art charges:

  • Documents must be Windows compatible - WIN 98 or higher.
  • Image resolution must be 300 dpi or higher at imprint size.
  • 1-colour imprints should be formatted as EPS, TIFF or JPEG (photos only).
  • Imprints of 2 colours must be separated as SPOT colours and saved as EPS files only. Fonts should be IMBEDDED or transmitted with the document. All fonts should be converted to curves/outline.
  • Imprints of 3 or more colours - call for specifications.
  • For PHOTOS: An original black & white photo or grayscale digital photo must be supplied. Minimum resolution is 300 dpi. Ensure there is good contrast between the subject and the background. Lighter backgrounds work best.
  • The following software applications are acceptable:
    • Quark Xpress 4.5 or 5.0
    • PhotoShop 5.5 or 6.0
    • Corel Draw 12.0
    • Acrobat 5.0
    • Adobe Illustrator EPS 11.0
  • Documents should be compressed using Stuffit or WINzip.

ART PROOFS: Proofs will be supplied on request. First proof is free. Subsequent proofs are $10.00 (E). First art proof will be corrected at no charge. Each subsequent proof will be charged at $10.00 (E). Proofs should be returned as soon as possible. Production time starts when final proof has been received. Proof approvals must be faxed or e-mailed - phone approvals will not be accepted.

ARTWORK CHARGES OR TOUCH-UPS: If your art requires modification or if you request custom artwork, we charge at a rate of $25 (G) per half hour. If charge will exceed $50, distributor will be notified and approval requested to proceed.

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellation to "work in process" will be accepted however charges will be accumulated for "work done to date" and will apply. Cancellations for completed orders cannot be accepted.

CHANGES: Changes to "work in progress" will be accepted; however charges will be made for "work done to date" and a revised ship date may be given.

EARLY ORDER POLICY: All early orders must be received by or before July 1st, 2007 to receive early bird pricing. Orders sent marked "Artwork to follow" will be priced at the late season price if copy is not received by July 1st, 2007.

ORDERING: Distributors may place orders by email, fax or mail - complete with artwork (in authorized format). Artwork orders are only processed once artwork, quantity, imprint colour and full shipping information is received. Order acknowledgment is sent by email or fax. It is the distributor's responsibility to check for accuracy and advise Galleria of any omissions or errors within 24 hours. Any changes to an order must be in writing.

OVERS AND UNDERS: We run exact quantites only.

PRODUCTION & SHIPPING TIME: Commencing August 1st, orders will be printed and shipped within 10 working days after final proof approval is received, unless otherwise specified. Orders otherwise specified will be printed and stored at no charge prior to release on the first day of the month in which delivery was requested. Calendar production begins June 1st. Please contact Galleria for any orders required before August 1st.

QUOTES: Contact Galleria for quotes on larger quantities.

RETURNS & DAMAGES: Returns are not permitted without prior approval from Galleria and any returns are arranged through Galleria. Any claims for damages must be made within 10 days. Galleria is not responsible for damages from any couriers other than shipments made on Galleria's courier account.

SHIPPING: F.O.B. Brampton, Ontario. All orders billed to the distributor and shipped via ground courier. Galleria enjoys preferred pricing with its courier and passes on the reduced rates. Other shipping methods charged to the distributor's courier account and are the responsibility of the distributor. In such instances, courier name, account number and phone number must be supplied at time of order. Galleria is not responsible for delays by courier.

NOTE: You may save shipping costs by picking up your order (1000 calendars or less) at our Magnus Plant in Scarborough. Orders over 1000 can be picked up at our plant in Brampton. Such arrangements must be made in advance with Galleria and are subject to approval by Galleria. Call Galleria for details.

STOCK AVAILABILITY: While every effort is made to ensure adequate stock for all orders, stock availability cannot be guaranteed after November 1st. It is recommended that a second choice be included on orders after November 1st.

TERMS: Open terms for authorized distributors may be granted at Galleria Calendar's discretion. Payments may be made by cheque, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. COD shipments are not accepted.
